    • Sessie Merrill Clark, age 98, died Sept 22, 1989 in Hurricane, Utah. She was born Dec 14, 1890 in Hillsdale, Garfield County, Utah to Alzina Scoggings and Joseph John Merrill. Sessie married Thomas George Clark Sept 2, 1910 in Glendale Utah. There marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS temple. Mr. Clark died April 21, 1932. Sessie lived in Panguitch, Glendale, and Orderville. Known as a hard worker all her life, she was a widow for 57 years and worked hard to provide for her family. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, a devoted unselfish mother, grandmother and always raised a large vegetable and flower garden. She also enjoyed quilting, travel and keeping scrapbooks. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Noreen Evans of Hatch; three sons, J. Merrill Clark of Spanish Fork; Howard V Clark of Salt Lake City; and Wallace G Clark of Ephraim; one sister, Mrs. Loring (Fannie) Hampton, Salt Lake City; Eighteen grandchildren; seventy great grand children; thirty four great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild. She was precided in death by a daughter, Gwen, three sons, Dee, Durward, and Kenneth; three brothers, Alonzo, Horace, and Wallace; five sisters, Julia Woodbury, Margaret Tate, Bertha Ramsay, Alice Sellman, and Amy Munson. Funeral Services were held Monday, Sept 25 at 1 p.m. in Orderville Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Orderville Cemetery under the direction of Mosdale Mortuary.
