    • Sudden Death: An inquest was held in this parish on Friday, the 12th inst. by C.C. Brooke, Esq. on the body of James Scoggins aged 74 who died suddenly. On the previous Wednesday night it appeared the deceased was well as usual when he went to bed, but had at times complained of pains in his chest and palpatations of the heart. About ten o'clock his wife heard him moan, she spoke to him, but getting no answer she became alarmed and called a neighbor, he died shortly after "Death from Natural Causes"
