- Dec 7, 1938 ARDEN LEROY SCOGGINGS: Roosevelt -- Services for Arden Leroy Scoggings, 21 who died at his home in Roosevelt Monday will be conducted Thursday at 12 o'clock noon in the Montwell Chapel, with interment in Cedarview. Born on March 10, 1917, in Bennett, a son of Philip E. and Mary E. Brown Scoggings, he spent most of his life in Montwell Ward, where the family resided until recently. Surviving are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: W. D. Scoggings of Paris, Ida: Mrs. Amy Smith of American Fork. Mrs. Oral Evans of Salt Lake: Mrs. Nettie Farey and Mrs. Ella Rehbock of San Francisco. Russell Scoggings of Montwell Ward and Homer Scoggings, whose address is unknown.
Dec 10, 1938 ARDEN SCOGINGS Roosevelt. Utah - Services were held Thursday in Monwel Chapel for Arden Leroy Scogings, who died Dec 5 of peritonitis. Services were presided over by Bishop Arthur Wiscombe. Thew following speakers paid tribute: John L Perry, Pres. B.O. Colton, James Bacon, and James Hamblin. Music was by a quartet: Mrs. William Lambrum, Mrs. Arthur Brown, Kleber Houtz and Urban Stewart, and John E. Wiscombe. Burial was in the Cedarview Cemetery. James Bacon dedicated the grave.
